Dr Ryszard Kardasz

He holds the diplomas of three schools: Rzeszów University of Technology – Department of Mechanical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology – Department of Mechanical, Power and Aeronautical Engineering and Wrocław University of Technology – Institute of Machine Construction and Operation.

He has completed numerous courses in management and finances. His academic output includes over 40 publications in building machinery construction, military technology, as well as capital groups and enterprises management and organisation.

He began his professional career in 1975. In the last twenty years he has held prominent posts in the economy. He was, among others, a Member of the Scientific Board and subsequently the Director of the Research and Development Centre in Stalowa Wola, a Member of the Board and then the President of the Board of Stalowa Wola Steelworks, a Consultant to the Management Board of the Bumar Capital Group, a Member of the Management Council for Certification of the Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining, the Chairman of the Union of Employers of the Defence Industry, a Member of the College of the Industry, Trade and Finance Union.

He was a member of several Supervisory Boards, including Mostostal S.A, Stalowa Wola and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

Since the year 2004, he has been the President of the Board of Przemysłowe Centrum Optyki S.A. He is also a Deputy Chairman of the Foundation for the Development of the Rzeszów University of Technology, the Chairman of the Programme Board of the Podkarpacki Business Club, a Member of the Programme Board of “Przegl±d Mechaniczny” and a Lecturer in Management at The Bogdan Jański Higher School of Management.

He was interned during martial law and holds the status of a persecution victim. In December 2009 he was awarded Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

Irena Rdzanek

A graduate of the Central School of Planning and Statistics, Department of Finance and Statistics. She completed her studies in 1975 and began her professional career in the same year at PZO.

She has worked at Przemysłowe Centrum Optyki since 1981, as: the Costs and Prices Planning Section Manager, Chief Economist, Proxy, acting Business and Finance Director. In 2003, she was appointed Board Member – Business and Finance Director and she still serves in this capacity today.

Robert Wrona

Graduated from the Department of Fine Mechanics at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1967 and in the same year went to work for PZO. He has been working at Przemysłowe Centrum Optyki since its foundation, first as a Constructor, then Workshop Manager, Head of the Design Department, Deputy Chief Designer, Head of the Development Bureau – Chief Designer, Chief Design and Research Engineer.

In 1989 he was appointed Chief Development Engineer – Deputy Technical Director. Throughout his career he has been involved in designing special products of major significance for national defence. He is the author and co-author of many patents in the field of optics and optical electronics.

Following the transformation of PCO into a Joint-Stock Company in 1994, he was appointed Board Member – Technical Director and he remains in this post.

He is a recipient of the Gold Cross of Merit and the Bronze Medal “For Services of National Defence”.
